Smart Event Analytics

Select 3MP IP models support built-in edge analytics. These include Line Crossing Detection, Intrusion Detection, and Region Entrance/Exit Alerts to eliminate false triggers.

Night Vision

Rather than standard circular IR LEDs, Hikvision uses rectangular EXIR (Extended Infrared) technology. This eliminates dark corners and overexposed "hotspots" in the center of the image, distributing light evenly up to 30–50 meters.

True 120dB Wide Dynamic Range (WDR)

It uses dual-shutter technology to capture separate dark and light exposures. The camera merges them in real time to reveal details hidden by deep shadows or extreme backlighting.

Efficient Video Coding (H.265+)

It uses custom H.265+ compression. This reduces bandwidth and NVR storage requirements by up to 70–80% compared to legacy H.264 video formats, without degrading 3MP resolution.

Audio over Coax (AoC) / Built-in Mic

Many newer variants allow inline audio transmission alongside video over a single coaxial cable or Ethernet run, omitting the need for external microphone wiring.
